Since September of 2004, ASK has invited someone each month to present on a topic that relates to adoption. Our topics have included Korean
foster care, sex education, teenage pregnancy, global trends in inter-country adoption, media portrayals of adoptees and more. In addition to
learning more about the issues, we are committed to fostering relationships with people and organizations who work on the front lines.
Issue-based committees
The following committees undertake research, build relationships with local NGOs, and identify areas for action. They meet bi-weekly.
- Sex education, single mothers, teen pregnancy
- Foster care and orphanages
- Adoption agencies and domestic adoption
- International policies
