INTERNATIONAL NETWORKING
In the summer of August 2004, together, ASK and an adoptee organization based in Chicago
called HALT, initiated a network to create an alternative space in the adoptee community to
challenge the current mainstream discourse and practices of adoption out of Korea. Currently
ASK, HALT, a group in Minnesota, and individuals from around the U.S. are undergoing a
process of defining what this network will be and how it can support groups and individuals who
want to approach adoption with a politic and organize accordingly.
